Golden Lori Rice Formula provides a low sugar diet with scientifically balanced nutrition to meet all of your Lori/Lorikeet’s nutritional needs in a highly palatable food. It has been designed to provide a diet high quality carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals to deliver the essential nutrition required to maintain the health and wellbeing of your lovable larrikin! The Lorikeet’s natural diet consists largely of pollen, nectar and wild fruits. They obtain pollen and nectar from Eucalyptus, Melaleuca, Bottle brush, Grevillea and other native trees and scrubs, as well as fruit, flowers, and buds from other plants. They have a unique tongue which is adapted especially for this diet. In addition to Golden Lori Rice Formula, natural branches full of leaves and flowers should be included as part of the diet, to add variety and provide stimulation for the birds while they forage through the foliage. The minimum daily feed amount should be approximately 10% of the bird's weight. For example, a 100g lorikeet would require a minimum of 10g of Golden Lori Rice per day. May be fed as a wet or dry food: Dry Mix: Golden Lori Rice can be used as a dry mix, directly from the bag! Make it freely available as 80% of your bird’s diet. Wet Mix: mix with warm water to achieve the desired consistency (should be quite runny, like nectar). Approximately 1 part Golden Lori Rice to 3 parts water, the mixture will thicken on standing. Replace with fresh mix daily. Storage Store in a dry area, below 30C. For optimum freshness, keep in an airtight container, out of direct sunlight and consume within 30 days of opening. Expiry 2 years from date of manufacture. Whole grains (wheat & soybean), rice flour, sugars (dextrose and sucrose), vegetable oil, psyllium husk, Amino acids (lysine, methionine & threonine), Vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, C, D3, E, H & K), Minerals (calcium, cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sodium, sulphur, and zinc) & blueberry flavour.
