Woonona Petfoods Wins 2024 National Tuckers Member of the Year at AIRR Rural Conference
Woonona Petfoods is proud to announce that we have been awarded the 2024 National Tuckers Member of the Year at the AIRR Rural Conference, held at Star City Casino, Broadbeach, from Saturday 15th February to Monday 17th February.
This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team, our valued suppliers, and the incredible support we receive from AIRR (Australian Independent Rural Retailers), an organisation committed to strengthening independent retailers across Australia.
A Weekend of Learning and Recognition
Our owners, Dennis and Brenda, along with General Manager Emma and Marketing Manager Keeley, attended the annual AIRR Rural Conference on the Gold Coast. This event brings together independent retailers from across the country, providing a platform for networking, learning, and strengthening relationships with key suppliers.
As a local, family-owned business, Woonona Petfoods has been part of the AIRR network for several years, benefiting from the collective strength of like-minded independent retailers. AIRR provides essential support, allowing us to remain competitive against large corporate retailers through exclusive supplier deals, access to key industry insights, and ongoing guidance. We are incredibly grateful to Grant, Kane, Pete, Scott, and the entire AIRR team for their continued support in helping independent businesses like ours thrive.
What This Award Means to Us
Winning the 2024 National Tuckers Member of the Year is an incredible honour. It recognises the tireless efforts of Dennis and Brenda, who have owned and operated Woonona Petfoods for 27 years. Their passion for providing the best pet supplies to pet parents in the Illawarra and beyond has been the driving force behind our business.
We also want to acknowledge our General Manager, Emma, whose dedication and leadership have been pivotal in driving Woonona Petfoods forward for nearly 20 years. Her leadership is instrumental in ensuring our business operates smoothly every day. Special thanks to our store managers, Amelia and Christine, for their commitment to delivering excellent service and managing day-to-day operations. This award also belongs to our eCommerce team, warehouse team, and entire staff - the dedicated individuals who work behind the scenes to make Woonona Petfoods a success.
