On Saturday, December 7th, Woonona Petfoods held its highly anticipated annual Santa Pet Photos event, welcoming pets and their owners for a fun-filled day of holiday cheer and community spirit. This year, the event was a resounding success, with over 250 festive pet photos captured and a remarkable $1,035 raised for Friends For Life Rescue through the donations alone.
As always, the Santa Pet Photos were offered free of charge, but customers were encouraged to make a donation to Friends For Life Rescue, a local organization committed to rescuing and rehoming animals in need. Friends For Life Rescue is a dedicated team focused on providing high-level care for cats and kittens in need, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and matched with the right forever homes, while working closely with local rescues and using donations to directly support their well-being. The funds raised during this event will go directly toward helping more pets find a second chance at life.
The day was further enhanced by the Friends For Life Rescue team themselves, who hosted a stall selling delicious homemade treats and raffle tickets. Through their efforts and the incredible support of the community, they raised an additional $1,258.15, which will also go toward their life-changing work. This brings the total amount raised on the day to $2,293.15.

Whether it was through attending the event, making a donation, baking treats, donating raffle prizes, or volunteering on the day, your generosity and kindness have made a real difference for animals in need.

Our Santa, Brad, was a true champion, bringing joy to all while enduring the summer humidity in his Santa suit. A special acknowledgement goes to our owners, Brenda and Dennis, whose passion and commitment make events like this possible, as well as our amazing General Manager, Emma, whose tireless work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly.
Additionally, we would like to thank the incredible companies who lent their support on the day. Leiza from MARS Petcare, Jenny from Zoo Pets and Jess from Fidos Pet Care all generously gave up their time on a Saturday to assist with the event and share freebies with attendees, adding an extra layer of excitement for visitors.
To our amazing community, thank you for showing up in force once again. Your generosity, compassion, and holiday spirit truly embody what makes our local area so special. Together, we’ve raised vital funds for an organization that is making a real impact on the lives of animals in need, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
As we reflect on the success of this year’s event, we are already looking ahead to next year’s Santa Pet Photos and the opportunity to bring everyone together once again for a great cause.
