If you're new in the hood, we’ll give you a bit of context! Roy is our store dog, who is known and adored by our customers near and far. If you’ve ever visited our store, you would have seen him sitting on top of one of the pallets at the front of the store demanding pats, or he would have given you a nudge to throw his ball for him. He absolutely loves meeting all our wonderful customers and their pets.
Being a kelpie himself, it was fitting to select Working Paws as Roy’s chosen rescue organization to raise money for. Working Paws is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to finding homeless dogs their forever homes and matching them in the right environment for their personal needs. They work with farmers, animal shelters, pounds, and other rescue groups to provide support and rehoming for working dogs who are homeless. They also work with the public to educate on the importance of dog ownership. The work they do in the community and their passion for pets is inspiring. Each dog that comes into their care receives a full health check including flea and tick treatments, microchipping, vaccinations, special care if required and of course, lots of love!
